My Work
Books
The Ghost in Allie’s Pool, my middle grade novel, was published by Brown Barn Books, and won an Independent Publisher Book Award. The review in Publishers Weekly said, “Sari Bodi’s affecting debut novel balances a familiar fictional theme with an inventive historical premise.”
Plays
My plays are regularly performed at Theatre Artists Workshop in Norwalk, and workshops have been produced in New York City at the New York Theatre Workshop and the Ensemble Studio Theatre. Monologues of mine have been published in theatre anthologies.
Publications
My plays for children appear regularly in Storyworks, Scope, and Storyworks Jr., all Scholastic publications. I’ve also published articles in Discovery Girls (tween magazine), the Village Voice, the Daily News, and Brides magazine.
Literary Manager
I served as literary manager for the Ensemble Studio Theatre in New York, and the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, where I also wrote study guides for students and taught theater workshops in the schools. I taught playwriting and journalism at the Educational Center for the Arts, an arts high school in New Haven.
Comedy
My comedy sketches have been broadcast on BBC Radio in London. I was a co-producer and writer/actor for Videosyncracies, a comedy cable-tv show produced in New York.
